Upcoming closure of services

After careful review, Spark has decided to phase out the Telepermit System/Access Standards service. We are currently working through the transition, and the service is expected to be closed by 1st September 2026. This decision reflects the declining number of applications received over recent years, the stability of the wireless market, and the reduced relevance of items historically approved under Access Standards.

What this means for new applicants:

Given that we are now in the wind-down phase, we would respectfully encourage prospective applicants to consider whether a new Telepermit application is necessary at this stage. As we move closer to closure:

• • Processing times for any new applications are likely to be longer than usual, and we cannot guarantee that applications received now will be fully approved before services close.
• • If, after considering the above, you still wish to proceed with a new application, we are of course happy to receive it and will progress it on a best-effort basis during the remaining period.

Existing Telepermits and the Telepermit website:

• • Existing Telepermits already issued will remain valid; this notice relates to the ongoing operation of the approval service itself.
• • The Telepermit website and Public PTC Register will remain active until 1st December 2026, after which the website will also be decommissioned.
